How long will it take?

Christmas Hampers:
We give you complete choice of when you would like your Christmas hampers delivered and this is shown on each Christmas hamper product page. Choosing your preferred delivery date is finalised during your checkout process.

Same day delivery?

Same day delivery is available for Melbourne Metro areas only if you order before 12pm AEST. A flat rate of $25 per hamper will be incurred. Please call us on 1300 131 151 to place your order.

Other important information

  • Please note there is a $25.00 per hamper freight forwarding surcharge for any deliveries to very remote areas and to all of NT.
  • We deliver within Australia only, during business hours Monday to Friday. No deliveries occur on public holidays.
  • We do not deliver to PO boxes.

Delivery Terms & Conditions

Delivery timeframes
Delivery timeframes are dictated by our freight providers, however, please note that rare delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as road or weather events and First Class Hampers is not responsible for these delays. This guide is only applicable to orders placed BEFORE 2:00pm.

Incorrect delivery information
Please enter delivery details carefully. You must include ALL address details including full street number, street name and company name if applicable.

It is vital that you ensure you are providing the correct delivery address of your recipient. If you realise you have entered an incorrect address, please call us immediately so we can amend the address if the order hasn't been dispatched. If the hamper cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address, it will be returned to our warehouse in due course. Any attempt to re-send a hamper returned to our warehouse will incur a re-delivery fee of $15 at the expense of the sender.

If you provide an incorrect, yet legitimate address and the hamper is successfully delivered, we can no longer recall the hamper and will not be held responsible. We will not provide a refund in this circumstance and you will need to purchase another hamper should you wish to send another out.

Authority to Leave
Hampers dispatched to a residential address (provided the address is not a unit or apartment) will have an AUTHORITY TO LEAVE order on it. This means that if the courier deems it safe to do so, a parcel can be left at a recipient’s address if they are not home. This will only be acted upon if a driver finds a safe, off street and out of weather location to leave the parcel where it will not be damaged or stolen. If the driver deems it unsafe to leave the parcel, a calling card will be placed in the recipient’s letterbox for them to call the freight company and arrange a more suitable delivery day/time.

Please note it is the receiver’s responsibility to contact the courier to arrange appropriate delivery. If the parcel remains undeliverable due to no contact from the receiver, it will be returned to us at First Class Hampers. A $15.00 redelivery charge will be incurred to re-send the hamper.

PO Boxes
Our couriers do NOT deliver to PO boxes. Please ensure you provide a complete residential or business address to avoid delays in dispatch.

Hospitals, Schools, Hotels & Large Institutions
First Class Hampers makes every effort to deliver your hamper with speed and accuracy to Hospitals, Hotels and Retirement Residences etc. For this reason, it is important to provide as much detail as possible so that your hamper reaches your recipient on time. As a guide, include information such as:

  • The recipient’s full name
  • Institutions name
  • Department name, ward number, room number etc.
  • Street Address
  • Phone Number/s
  • Please add any further details into the “Add delivery instructions” section such as whether the recipient is a Patient, Guest, Resident or Employee, check in dates or Attn: reception or contact person, or any special Instructions for entry to the premises if needed

Please note that it is a good idea to speak to the Institution before ordering your hamper to make sure you have the best delivery information/instructions. These instructions can then be added into the “Add delivery instructions” section when you are placing your order.

Please ensure your recipient has enough time before checking out to receive their hamper. Allow time for hampers to pass through possible security checks/mail room registers at these locations if necessary.

Please note First Class Hampers accepts no responsibility once the parcel has been signed for by the institution, in ensuring they pass the hamper onto the recipient and has no control over the timeframe for these businesses to pass the hamper onto the recipient.

Cancellation, Refund & Return Information

Cancellation
Cancellation of orders must be made at least 24 hours prior to dispatch. We cannot accept cancellations under any circumstances once the order has left our premises. Once an order has been cancelled, the purchase amount will be refunded via the payment method used for the initial purchase.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact First Class Hampers immediately on 1300 131 151. Once payment for an order has been accepted, cancellation is at the discretion of First Class Hampers.

Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been prepared and are with our couriers for delivery.

Refund
Any dissatisfaction with our product/s must be communicated to us within three business days of delivery. Call 1300 131 151 or email sales@firstclasshampers.com.au. First Class Hampers does not refund for change of mind.

Refunds will not be given for late delivery outside our stipulated delivery time frames. Orders cannot be refunded once they are with our couriers for delivery.

In the unfortunate event that an item has been damaged through the delivery process, we will offer you a replacement hamper, if you would not like a replacement gift or damaged items re-sent, a refund will be offered. Refunds will only be processed via the payment method used for the initial purchase.

Your hamper is returned to us…why?
Occasionally a hamper will be returned to us for one of the following reasons:

  • a parcel has an incorrect address, our couriers are unable to call the recipient to verify;
  • a card was left but there was no response from the recipient to arrange re-delivery;
  • a card was left but the recipient did not pick the package up from the post office, newsagent or other specified location;
  • the recipient is not known at that address or has moved;
  • address details are incorrect or insufficient;
  • the recipient was in hospital or a hotel and has been discharged or has checked out

Please note if delivery has been attempted and a card has been left by the courier, it is the receiver’s responsibility to contact the freight company to arrange appropriate delivery. If the parcel remains undeliverable due to no contact from the receiver, it will be returned to us at First Class Hampers and a $15.00 charge will be incurred at the expense of the sender to resend.

Damaged hamper?
We take extreme measures of protecting your hamper during transit by using super strong shipping boxes and extra large AIRFLOW bubble wrap air pockets. In the unfortunate event that a gift has been damaged through the delivery process, we will offer you a replacement hamper. Please contact us immediately on 1300 131 151 or email us at sales@firstclasshampers.com.au to organise for the hamper to be returned and a replacement hamper to be dispatched. We will require photos of all damaged items before a replacement is sent so that we can better understand the extent of the damage or issues with the product.

What time will the courier deliver my hamper?
Delivery cannot be guaranteed at a specific time and will be made sometime within business hours.
